Vent Must
Woman though strong yet express her agonies, pains to someone whereas on the contrary man considered as stronger have the least thoughts about expressing or should say give vent to their feelings because of their rearing. I met a friend after a long span and was beyond limit surprised to note how lonely a man can feel and how hard try to conceal his feelings to keep himself locked in a cocoon! Self made cocoon to show his manliness or maintain the standards set by our own loved ones! The smile of a person apart from age and sex barriers can be as sweet as a child if the spirit is alive! What efforts do we apply once the children have grown to a certain extent but is a noteworthy thing! I have seen 28 years boys trying hard and then breaking like a small child, often wonder why we are so blind!!
The experience made me think WHY do we follow this partiality towards our counterparts? It's deep down mingled in our bloodstream which must be changed. On the slightest pretexts nowadays boys tend to suicide, isn't it due to lack of sharing their problems? Parents feel lost after losing mostly their only son, our families being small, why not grow friendly relations and teach them while growing to share their problems without feeling weak. The bonds shared in hardships would certainly strengthen relationships, parents need to be aware. After losing children there is no point left in analyzing.
I met a grown up child but many a children lack this freedom of expression at home. We should learn this from western culture surely to keep our minds open. Mainly a man gets affected in lack of emotional bonds at home or love failure. Many a times it's just infatuation which can be handled with a few counselling sessions easily. A boy appointed as constable police found it hard to be on the spots where he was expected to present the whole report be it a murder or suicide. After such incidents he used to feel so frightened and nervous that barely he could behave normal. As he was a candidate in my communication classes I advised him to quit that job and try for bank exams which would suit him better. Exactly after attending a few exams he was called for a personal interview. The questions were asked in a tricky manner.
Three people are in a queue waiting to deposit amount. the first one had 25,000, the second one 5,000 and the third was an old woman with 1,000 to deposit. to whom would he give priority? He replied , "As deposit is a main thing he would first deposit the 25,00 then request the second person to allow that old woman for depositing." Immediately one person retorted at him, "you are from the police department so you lack sympathy and know only strict dealing s, how can you understand others problems?" this candidate felt little upset still maintained his cool. Again the same question was repeated though by another person who seemed little softer at first sight. My candidate maintaining a cool attitude replied the same thing with a determined mental attitude. Though he felt nervous at heart his determination was appreciated and he was selected. they promised to inform him the result shortly. After the classes I asked him personally about his experience to which he replied reluctantly. then I asked how much time he was given and he said 13 minutes. I told him surely he would get the job but he was not at all sure. In cross questioning candidates become unsure.
Many candidates have knowledge yet lack confidence on the contrary many are over confident but lack knowledge. It's highly essential to teach them balancing while growing as it would be their character and may affect their whole personality. Dominating parents children lack self confidence and decision making abilities. Instead of dominating and suppressing them we can guide and suggest what would be the best thing for them and leave to them the final decision.
We pay much attention on girls while unknowingly neglect the emotional needs of growing boys especially around 20s. This initially affects them then gradually they learn to ignore such things and unfortunately this makes them little tough emotionally. Emotions can be hidden but we can not see a person without emotions, even those who commit severe crimes also under emotional stress get into such deeds. Emotions like anger, hatred and lust are many a times controlled but they have double force when get a vent so it is wise to learn to vent our emotions in healthy manner. Actually it should be practiced by everyone to lead a healthy life. All the suppressed emotions fester if not get a vent over many years.
